Description

No. 3, Cavendish Avenue is a detached house dating from the mid-19th century. The house is constructed of grey brick with a hipped slate roof extending to the eaves. It is three storeys high with a basement, and has a facade three windows wide. A projecting Doric porch is located on the right side, featuring a dentil frieze. The windows are square-headed with gauged brick heads, and retain mostly intact sash windows with glazing bars. A rich modillion eaves cornice runs along the top of the building. The group value context concerns its contribution to the architectural character of the area.
