Description

This is a mid-19th century house located on the north side of Cavendish Close in the City of Westminster. The house is constructed of yellow brick in Flemish bond, with a channelled stucco finish to the ground floor and stucco dressings. The roof is covered with Welsh slate. It is three storeys tall with a basement, and has three bays. A central Ionic porch provides access, featuring a door with jamblights and a patterned overlight. The ground floor has eight-pane sash windows. A first-floor band and sill band are visible, and the first floor windows are sashes with glazing bars, set within flat gauged brick arches. A second-floor sill band with wave moulding is present, and the second floor windows are six-pane sashes. The house has a cornice with modillions supporting the overhanging eaves. The roof is hipped.
