Description

This is a mid-19th century house located in Cavendish Close, London. It is constructed of yellow brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with a channelled stucco finish to the ground floor and stucco dressings. The roof is covered in Welsh slate. The house is three storeys high with a basement, and has three bays. A central Ionic porch with double doors and a radial overlight provides access. The left-hand side features a sash window with glazing bars; the right has a blank opening. Above this, on the first floor, is a central sash window with glazing bars, set within an architrave with a pediment resting on consoles, all within a shouldered stucco surround. Sill bands are present, and the second floor has a six-pane sash window. A wave moulding defines the second-floor band. A small, 20th-century window has been added to the first and second floors. The south-east front has three bays with sash windows with glazing bars, and iron balconies on both the ground and first floors.
