Description

This is a terrace of houses numbered 47 to 65, located on Princes Square in Westminster. The houses were built in the late 1850s and are constructed of stucco. They form a balanced terrace, with numbers 47 to 65 (odd) and the end three and central seven houses being set forward slightly and featuring rusticated quoins. The ground floor has channelling, and a continuous, bombé balcony runs across the first floor. The windows are square-headed, architraved, and have cornices on the first and second floors, with sash windows and plate glass. A console cornice and decorative frieze sit above the third floor. The entrances are located on the north side of the building. The terrace forms the northern side of a garden square together with numbers 1 to 20 (listed separately), and has an attic and basement.
