Description
This is a detached house located on Carlton Hill, dating from the mid-19th century. It is constructed of brick with stucco dressings, and has a pitched slate roof. The house is three storeys high, with a basement, and has two bays. A prominent gable fronting the street has overhanging eaves and a roof ridge running at a right angle to the road. The entrance is located on the left side, within a slightly projecting porch featuring a segmental headed, architraved entrance doorway and a panelled door. The upper floors have segmental headed sash windows with "Gothick" patterned glazing bars. A ground floor window on the right-hand side is a three-light design with timber mullions and sashes. A garage is located at basement level. A circular stucco panel is set into the gable, decorated with a winged motif. The building is included on the list solely for its contribution to the group value of the surrounding properties.
