Description
No. 48 Abbey Road is a detached house built around 1840, designed in a Tudor or Gothic style. The exterior is finished in stucco, and the roof is not visible. The house has two to three storeys and features an irregular composition with two bays. On the right side, there is a projecting gabled entrance porch that has a four-centred arch. The ground floor on the left side includes a crenellated square bay window with three lights and a drip-mould. The windows throughout the house are square-headed casements with two and three lights, made of plate glass and also featuring drip-moulds. Each bay has a gable; the left bay has a target gable with an inset painted lancet, while the smaller gable has an inset glazed quatrefoil. The building is topped with moulded coping.
