Description

No. 26 Blenheim Road is a detached house built around 1840-1850. It features grey brick with stucco dressings and has two storeys plus a basement. The house is two windows wide and has a pilastered projecting stucco porch on the left with a segmental entrance and a panelled door. The windows are square-headed with architraves, and the right-hand bay has tripartite windows. The sashes are made of plate glass, with some margin glazing. There is a moulded band between the storeys that breaks forward into a cornice above the ground floor window, and a cast iron window guard is present. This house is part of an unusually coherent sequence of similar houses in the area.
