Description
The monument to the Woodd family, located approximately 6 metres north-east of the Church of St Mary, is an early 19th-century structure made of ashlar. It features a sarcophagus with legs on a pedestal. The north side displays a coat of arms with the motto 'NON NOBIS', adorned with a garland, while the south side has a roundel depicting a male bust, likely representing the Reverend Basil Woodd. The monument shows signs of wear. Inscriptions on the base are partially legible; the west side commemorates Hannah Sophie Woodd, and the east side honors Basil Owen Woodd, son of the Reverend Basil Woodd, who died in 1811.
