Description

Number 4, including the front garden wall and gatepiers, is a house dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed of brick and has a stucco finish, with a concealed roof. The building has two storeys and a basement, featuring three bays that are slightly set forward at the sides and recessed in the center. There are steps leading up to a pilastered porch, which has a cornice and a balustrade above. The entrance consists of panelled double doors topped by a fanlight. The windows are tripartite sashes set within architraves, adorned with a pulvinated bayleaf frieze and a cornice supported by consoles above. On the first floor, the sashes are framed in eared and shouldered architraves with sills. A modillion cornice runs along the top, and there is a partly balustraded parapet. The low front wall features gatepiers at the center and right, with an additional pier to the left.
