Description
The monument located opposite the south porch in St Mary's Churchyard dates from 1812. It features a sarcophagus on rectangular plinths and is signed and dated "Coade and Sealy 1812." The design is reminiscent of Michelangelo and stands on lion's paw feet. This funerary monument was erected in memory of George Wood of St James, Westminster. The inscription on the monument is largely illegible.
