Description
The Magistrates Court, also known as The Old Court House, is a late 18th-century building located at 191 High Road, E18. It is three storeys tall and constructed of brown brick, featuring seven sash windows. The central doorway is framed by three-panel double doors, glazed side lights, and an ornamental fanlight, with pilasters, console brackets, and a cornice. The eaves cornice has paired brackets, and the building is topped with a hipped slate roof. The south front includes a two-storey painted bow, with the centre featuring an open balcony that has wooden rails, dating from the early 19th century.
