Description
The monument to Emily Kingsley is a tomb chest located in Dulwich Old Burial Ground, dated 1823. It is made of stone and features plain inscription panels. The tomb is enclosed by iron railings with spearheads, and the corner uprights are topped with urns, although two of these urns are missing. The monument is positioned towards the center axis of the burial ground, just west of the Soanean canopy tomb. This burial ground was consecrated in 1616 and is notable for not being adjacent to any church or chapel. The monument is part of a group that includes the 18th-century gates, walls, and railings of Dulwich Old Burial Ground.
