Description
No 145 on Vassall Road is an early to mid-19th century villa that stands two stories tall with a basement and features three windows across its façade. The building is constructed from yellow stock brick, with a stuccoed basement. It has a fairly low-pitched hipped roof that is slated, with eaves soffits and end chimneys. The windows have gauged brick arches; the first-floor windows are flat and have been replaced with sashes, while the ground-floor casements are set in round-arched recesses and rest on a ground-floor string. Access to the villa is via eight stone steps that lead up to a half-glazed four-panel door, which is sheltered by a prostyle Tuscan porch adorned with a dentil cornice. To the left, there is a two-storey extension with one window that has a similar design, although the parapet has been altered and rendered.
