Description
86 Vassall Road is an early 19th-century house that stands four storeys tall with a basement. It features two windows on its main façade and has a two-storey and basement link to the adjacent property at No 88. The building is constructed of stock brick and has a stucco cornice along with a rebuilt brick parapet. The sash windows, which have glazing bars, are topped with gauged flat brick arches set in stucco-lined reveals. The ground floor windows are adorned with moulded architraves, frieze, and cornice. Access to the house is via nine steps leading up to a prostyle Doric porch supported by fluted columns. The entrance includes a six-panel door with a cornice head and a rectangular fanlight above it. A wrought-iron handrail runs alongside the steps, and there is patterned cast iron railing in the area.
