Description
No. 168 on Brixton Road is an early to mid-19th century villa that stands two stories high with a basement and features three windows across its façade. The building is constructed of stock brick and has a stone-coped parapet. The basement and the first floor have a stuccoed cill band. The sash windows are adorned with gauged brick arches; the ground floor windows are round-headed and set within round-arched recesses that have an impost string. Access to the villa is via seven steps, which are accompanied by a wrought iron handrail, leading to a six-panel door. This door is framed by panelled pilasters, topped with a cornice head and a plain fanlight, and is situated within a Tuscan prostyle porch that features a mutule cornice. There is a low extension on the left side of the building.
