Description
Nos 4 and 6 Groveway is a mid-19th century pair of houses, each three storeys high with a basement. They feature a narrow two-storey entrance bay that is set back from the main block. The buildings are constructed of stock brick, with a stuccoed basement. There is a cill band at the first floor, along with a frieze, cornice, and blocking course. The upper sash windows have gauged flat brick arches and may include vertical bars or margin lights. The windows on the ground floor are tripartite sash windows with glazing bars, framed by stucco surrounds that have console bracketed cornices and projecting cills with ornamental cast iron gnaws. Access to the houses is via six steps leading up to four-panel doors that are set back behind entablature surrounds.
