Description
Nos 209 and 211 on Brixton Road are a substantial pair of early 19th-century buildings. Each building has three storeys and a basement, with three windows, plus an outer bay that is two storeys high and has one window. They are constructed of stock brick and feature a stucco frieze, cornice, and blocking course, along with a first-floor band. The outer bay has a plain parapet. The sash windows, which have glazing bars, are topped with gauged brick arches; the ground floor windows are round-headed and set in round-arched recesses with a stuccoed impost string. Access to the doors, which have three decorative panels, is via six stone steps. The doors are flanked by panelled pilasters and topped with a plain fanlight.
