Description
Nos 9 and 11 Groveway are an early to mid-19th century pair of houses, each with three storeys and a basement. They feature one window in the main block, with a narrower, set-back outer entrance bay. The buildings are constructed of grey brick, with a stucco basement, frieze, cornice, and a tall parapet, which may have been altered. The sash windows, which have glazing bars and are tripartite in the main block, are adorned with moulded architraves that are eared at the centre of the second floor and have cornices below. The ground floor has long casements with transoms. Access to the properties is via six steps leading to a four-panel door that is set back behind an entablature surround. These houses are included for their group value.
