Description
Nos 37 and 39 Groveway is an early to mid 19th century pair of houses, each featuring two storeys, an attic, and a basement. They have three windows, with the outer windows set in slightly projecting entrance bays. The roofs are slated mansards with dormers. The buildings are constructed of stock brick, with a stuccoed basement, frieze, modillion cornice, and a tall parapet that includes an openwork panel in front of the window. The sash windows on the ground floor have round moulded architraves and glazing bars. There are ornamental cast iron guards on the projecting cills of the ground floor windows. Access to the doors is via five steps, which are set back behind an entablature surround.
