Description

This is an early to mid-19th century, two-storey, three-window villa located on the south side of Brixton Water Lane. A lower two-storey bay was later added to the left. The villa is stuccoed, with incised lines, a cornice, and a blocking course, topped by a low-pitched slate roof. The upper windows have been replaced with sash windows, featuring console bracketed cornices and bracketed sills. Later 19th-century canted bay windows were added to the ground floor. The front entrance is a prostyle Tuscan porch with a blocking course, and contains a half-glazed four-panel door with a rectangular fanlight above. The building is included on the list for its group value.
