Description

This is a mid-19th century house of two storeys, an attic, and a basement, originally featuring three windows. The roof has been altered, and it is constructed of stock brick with a stucco frieze, cornice, and blocking course, as well as a first-floor cill band and basement. The slate mansard roof has three tall dormers, each with an ornamental pediment. The windows are sash windows set beneath gauged brick arches, with the ground floor windows being round in recessed arches, and having anthemion patterned cast iron guards. Seven replaced steps, accompanied by an old wrought iron handrail, lead to a six-panel door with an altered fanlight, contained within a stuccoed round-arched recess. A ground floor impost string runs across a left-hand coach-house extension, featuring carriage doors, a lunette above, and a stuccoed parapet. The building is included on the list for its group value.
