Description
No. 52 is a detached house built in 1862, located in Holland Park. The building is constructed of stucco and features three storeys, an attic, and a basement. It is three bays wide with a symmetrical design. The ground floor has channelling and steps leading up to a central entrance flanked by Doric half columns. Above the entrance, there is a wrought and cast iron glazed canopy. On either side of the entrance, there are two-storey canted bay windows that have Ionic pilasters on the upper storey. The outer windows on the second floor also have pilasters. A small balustraded balcony is present at the central window, and there is a rich cornice along the top. The attic has been remodelled in stucco but retains the central window. Additionally, there are cast iron balconies on the ground floor. This house is part of the planned layout of Holland Park.
