Description
No. 37 is a detached house built in 1862, located in Holland Park. The building is constructed of stucco and features three storeys, an attic, and a basement. It is three bays wide and has a symmetrical design. The ground floor has channeling, and there are steps leading to a central entrance flanked by Doric half columns. On either side of the entrance, there are two-storey canted bay windows with Ionic pilasters on the upper storey. The outer windows on the second floor also have pilasters. A small balustraded balcony is present at the central window. The house has a rich cornice and a parapet that incorporates three dormers; the outer two are pedimented, while the inner one has chimney outlets. Additionally, there are cast iron balconies on the ground floor. This house is part of the planned layout of Holland Park.
