Description

75 Holland Park is a detached house built in 1862 of stucco. It is three storeys high, with an attic and basement, and has a symmetrical three-bay facade. The ground floor is characterised by channelling. Steps lead to a central entrance, sheltered by a wrought and cast iron glazed canopy. Two-storey canted bay windows flank the entrance, featuring Ionic pilasters on the upper level. Pilasters are also present on the outer windows of the second floor, and a small balustraded balcony is located centrally. The building has a rich cornice and a balustraded parapet, incorporating three dormers; the outer two are pedimented, while the central one has chimney outlets. Cast iron balconies are set at ground floor level. The house was constructed as part of the planned layout of Holland Park.
