Description

No. 76 Holland Park is a detached house built in 1862 as part of the planned layout for Holland Park. The house is constructed of stucco, with three storeys, an attic, and a basement. It has a symmetrical design with three bays arranged in a 1:1:1 configuration. The ground floor is characterised by channelling, and a central entrance is accessed by steps with Doric half columns. Two-storey canted bay windows flank the central entrance, featuring Ionic pilasters on the upper storey. Pilasters also define the outer windows on the second floor. A small balustraded balcony sits above the central window. The house has a decorative cornice, and the attic has been rebuilt in stucco, preserving its central feature. Cast iron balconies are present on the ground floor.
