Description

This is a detached house of 1862, constructed of stucco, and situated within the Holland Park planned layout. The house is three storeys high, with an additional attic and basement. It has a symmetrical façade of three bays, arranged 1:1:1. The ground floor features channelling, and a central entrance is accessed by steps, flanked by Doric half columns. Two-storey canted bay windows are present on each side, with Ionic pilasters to the upper level. Pilasters also decorate the outer windows on the second floor. A small balustraded balcony is positioned in front of the central window. The building exhibits a rich cornice and a balustraded parapet incorporating three dormers; the two outer dormers have pediments, while the central dormer incorporates chimney outlets. Cast iron balconies are attached to the ground floor.
