Description
No. 41 is a detached house built in 1862, constructed from stucco. It stands three storeys high, with an attic and basement, and is three bays wide, featuring a symmetrical design of 1:1:1. The ground floor has channelling, and there are steps leading to the central entrance, which is flanked by Doric half columns. On either side of the entrance, there are two-storey canted bay windows with Ionic pilasters on the upper storey. The outer windows on the second floor also have pilasters. A small balustraded balcony is present at the central window, and there is a rich cornice above. The balustraded parapet includes three dormers; the outer two are pedimented, while the inner one has chimney outlets. Additionally, there are cast iron balconies on the ground floor. This house is part of the planned layout of Holland Park.
