45, Holland Park W11

No. 45 is a detached house built in 1862, constructed of stucco. It stands three storeys high, with an attic and basement, and is three bays wide, featuring a symmetrical design of 1:1:1. The ground floor has channelling, and there are steps leading to a central entrance flanked by Doric half columns. On either side of the entrance are two-storey canted bay windows, which have Ionic pilasters on the upper storey. The outer windows on the second floor also feature pilasters. A small balustraded balcony is present above the central window, and there is a rich cornice above. The balustraded parapet includes three dormers, with the outer two being pedimented and the inner one having chimney outlets. Additionally, there are cast iron balconies on the ground floor. This house is part of the planned layout of Holland Park.
