Description
This is a detached house built in 1862 as part of the planned layout of Holland Park. The house is constructed of stucco, with three storeys, an attic and a basement. It is three bays wide, arranged symmetrically as 1:1:1. The ground floor has channelling, and a central entrance is accessed via steps beneath a wrought and cast iron glazed canopy. Two-storey canted bay windows flank the central entrance, each featuring Ionic pilasters to the upper storey. Pilasters are also present on the outer windows of the second floor, and there is a small balustraded balcony to the central window. A rich cornice tops the building. The parapet incorporates three dormers; the outer two are pedimented, while the central dormer includes chimney outlets. Cast iron balconies are located on the ground floor.
