Description

This is a detached house built in 1862 as part of the planned layout for Holland Park. The house is constructed of stucco and has three storeys, an attic, and a basement. It is symmetrical in design, with a three-bay wide facade of 1:1:1 proportions. The ground floor is characterised by channelling, while steps lead to a central entrance, sheltered by a wrought and cast iron glazed canopy. Two-storey canted bay windows are located on each side, featuring Ionic pilasters to the upper storey. Pilasters also adorn the outer windows of the second floor. A small balustraded balcony is situated above the central window. The house has a rich cornice and an attic which has been remodelled in stucco, retaining its central window. Cast iron balconies are present on the ground floor.
