Description

This detached house was built in 1862 as part of the planned layout of Holland Park. It is constructed of stucco, with three storeys, an attic, and a basement. The house is three bays wide, arranged symmetrically as 1:1:1. The ground floor features channelled detailing. A central entrance is accessed by steps and has Doric half columns. Canted bay windows extend two stories from each side, with Ionic pilasters to the upper storey. Pilasters are also present on the outer windows of the second floor. A small, balustraded balcony sits above the central window. A rich cornice tops the building, and the attic has been remodelled in stucco, retaining a central window. Cast iron balconies are present on the ground floor.
