Description

The archway entrance from Holland Park, built from 1862 onwards, is a notable structure made of Roman cement. It features a giant archway with a triumphal design in a thin screen form, characterized by rusticated walling. The arch includes a segmental headed carriage arch, flanked by smaller pedestrian arches with round heads. Above the arches, there is an entablature, and the structure is topped with a panelled attic that has pilasters, a cornice, and a blocking course.
