Description

No. 50 Holland Park is a detached house built in 1862. It is constructed of stucco and has three storeys, an attic, and a basement. The house is three bays wide, arranged symmetrically as 1:1:1. The ground floor features rusticated stucco detailing. A central entrance is accessed by steps, sheltered by a wrought and cast iron glazed canopy. Two-storey canted bay windows flank the entrance, incorporating Ionic pilasters to the upper storey, while pilasters define the outer windows on the second floor. A small balustraded balcony is located above the central window. The cornice of the attic has been remodelled in stucco but retains the central window. Cast iron balconies are present on the ground floor. The building forms part of the planned layout of Holland Park.
