Description
This is a detached house built in 1862, constructed from stucco. It is three storeys high, with an attic and basement, and has a symmetrical three-bay facade arranged 1:1:1. The ground floor has channelling, with steps leading to a central entrance framed by Doric half columns. Each side features a two-storey canted bay window, with Ionic pilasters on the upper storey. Pilasters also feature on the outer windows of the second floor. A small balustraded balcony is situated in front of the central second-floor window. The house has a rich cornice parapet incorporating three dormers; the two outer dormers have pediments, while the central dormer includes chimney outlets. Cast iron balconies are present on the ground floor. The house forms part of the planned layout of Holland Park.
