Description
No. 64, Holland Park is a detached house built in 1862. It is constructed of stucco and has three main floors, an attic, and a basement. The house is three bays wide, arranged symmetrically as 1:1:1. The ground floor is treated with channelling. A central entrance is accessed by steps, flanked by Doric half columns. Two-storey canted bay windows are positioned on either side, with Ionic pilasters marking the upper storey. Pilasters define the outer windows of the second floor, and a small balustraded balcony adorns the central window. A decorative cornice runs along the top of the building. The attic has been remodelled. The pediments that originally topped the outer windows are no longer present. Cast iron balconies are located on the ground floor. The house forms part of the planned layout of Holland Park.
