Description
These are two houses, numbers 54 and 56, located on Holland Park Avenue in London. They were likely built around 1860. The houses are three storeys high, with a basement level, and each is two bays wide. The facades are stuccoed. To the left of each house is a three-storey canted bay window that extends from the basement to the first floor. Each canted bay features an elaborate two-storey iron verandah and a balustraded parapet. The front doors are framed by pilasters and a cornice. A crowning cornice runs along the top of the buildings, and there is a blocking course, which has been trimmed on number 56.
