Semi-detached house. 1850-2. Brick with stucco dressings and roof of slate. Italianate in style. Two storeys over basement, with three-storey tower to the east. Three bays wide to the street, the two eastern bays under a ridge parallel to the street, the western bay projecting slightly as a gabled wing, and the porch in the resulting angle. Original sashes to the street front. Basement stuccoed. Steps up to stuccoed porch with architrave and cornice; ground-floor windows have architraves with an 'interrupted' profile and cornices; cornice band. First floor west window under semi-circular moulding; the other two have architraves merging with band of stucco between exposed eaves. Gabled roofs. External gabled stack with offsets to east side. The tower has bands at floor levels and paired round-arched windows at second floor level, and hipped roof. On the west side, two stacks, that to the front having console mouldings above the eaves and a deep cornice to the top. Rear facade has a single-storey bay to the ground floor with tripartite window; architraves of the 'interrupted' type; paired round-headed windows to the top storey of the tower.
