Description

These are a pair of semi-detached houses located on Canonbury Park North, built between 1841 and 1843 as part of a development by C.H. Hill. They are constructed of brick with stucco dressings, and have slate roofs. The houses are two storeys high, each with two windows on the front. The entrance is set back on a lower two-storey bay to the side, featuring a stucco porch with antae, an entablature, and a blocking course. The porch has a flat-arched entrance with an overlight and an original panelled door. An original round-arched blank window sits above the entrance on the first floor. The main fronts have flat-arched windows with gauged brick detailing above them. Most windows retain original sashes, except for the ground floor windows of number 42. The eaves are boxed, and there is a stack on the party wall. Dormers are present on the sides of the hipped roof. A single-storey extension from the 20th century is attached to the side of both houses.
