Description
35 and 37 Canonbury Park North are semi-detached houses built between 1841 and 1843, developed by C.H. Hill. They are constructed of yellow brick with stucco dressings, featuring a Welsh slate roof on number 35 and an asbestos slate roof on number 37. The houses are two storeys over a basement, with dormers in the attics and two windows each. There are steps leading up to the side entrances, which have stuccoed balustrades in an open strapwork design. Number 35 has a simple stucco architrave with a cornice on consoles, while number 37 features simple pilasters and an entablature. The basement is stuccoed, and the ground floor has round-arched windows with gauged brick heads and stucco keystones, along with a stucco storey band. The first-floor windows are flat-arched with original design sashes, and both houses have boxed eaves, a hipped roof with dormers, and chimney stacks on the party wall. There is a 20th-century extension to the side of number 37.
