Description
58 and 60 Canonbury Park South are semi-detached houses built around 1845, developed by C.H. Hill. They are constructed of yellow brick and stucco, with a slate roof. Each house is two storeys tall and two bays wide, separated by a vertical sunk panel that is one brick deep. The main facade features one bay wide, with flat-arched windows that have gauged-brick heads. The outer bay is recessed and has a lower roof with a stuccoed porch that includes antae and a simple entablature, along with a panelled door and overlight; however, the mouldings on number 58 are now missing. Above, there is a round-arched blank window. Number 60 retains sashes of its original design. The eaves are enclosed, and the party wall is expressed above the roof, supporting a central stack. The houses have a hipped roof and single-storey extensions on either side.
