Description

A terrace of three houses located in Canonbury Park North, built between 1841 and 1843 as part of a development by C.H. Hill. The houses are constructed of stock brick with slate roofs and party wall stacks. They have two storeys and an attic, set above a raised rendered basement. Each house has a two-window facade. Stone steps and rendered balustrades lead to a six-panel door with a top light, recessed within a rendered doorcase with square capitals and a cornice. The basement windows are tripartite sashes, while the ground-floor windows are tripartite sashes with only horizontal glazing bars (those to No. 50 have been removed). The first-floor windows are 6/6 sashes, and the attic has 3/3 and tripartite dormers. The ground and first floor windows have gauged brick heads, with a rendered band separating these floors. The side elevations are primarily blind, but feature sashes beneath projecting eaves.
