Description

45 and 47 Canonbury Park North are semi-detached houses built between 1841 and 1843, developed by C.H. Hill. They are constructed of yellow brick in Flemish bond, with stucco dressings and a slate roof. The houses are two storeys over a basement, featuring dormers in the attic and two windows each. They are separated by a stucco pilaster.

The entrance bay projects slightly, with steps leading up to a flat-arched entrance that has pilasters and an entablature, a cornice, an overlight, and a panelled door of original design. All windows are flat-arched with gauged brick heads, and there is a stucco storey band. The first-floor windows in both houses have original design sashes. The roofs are hipped, with flat-arched dormers added later, and there are chimney stacks on the party wall. The walls flanking the steps have solid moulded coping on the side of no. 45 and balustrading on the side of no. 47. Both houses have single-storey extensions added in the late 20th century.
