Pair of semi-detached houses. 1841-3. Developed by C.H.Hill. Yellow brick, stucco and roof of slate. Three storeys above basement, each house two bays wide. Basement stuccoed. Steps up to entrance flanked by cast-iron railings; with pilasters with freely ornamented capitals, cornice on consoles, panelled door of original design and overlight. All windows flat-arched with gauged-brick heads and original sashes. Cast-iron window-guards to first-floor windows. The division between the houses marked by a vertical sunken panel one brick deep. Enclosed eaves. Party wall expressed above roof and carrying central stack; hipped roof. C20 extensions, to side of no 34 and set back at side of no 36.
