Description
A pair of semi-detached houses dating from around 1845, developed as part of the Canonbury Park North estate by C.H. Hill. The houses are built of yellow brick with stucco detailing, and have slate roofs. Each house is two storeys and two bays wide. A paired central porch features engaged Ionic columns supporting a simple entablature, with panelled doors and overlights. The windows have flat arches and architraves, with cornices on consoles to the ground floor; original sash windows are present throughout except for the ground floor of number 18. Chamfered quoins are visible. A simple cornice and boxed eaves run along the top of the facades. The party wall projects above the roof with a central stack, and there are side stacks as well. Hipped roofs and dormers are present on both houses.
