Description

Woodbine Cottage is a single house built around 1830. It features stucco over brick and exposed brown stock brick set in Flemish bond. The roof is obscured by a parapet. The entrance is located on the side and includes a curved staircase. The building has two storeys and a two-window range. The ground floor is rusticated stucco with round-arched openings that have radiating heads designed to imitate voussoirs. The windows have curved and radial glazing bars with margin lights set in panelled recesses. To the right of the ground floor, there is a doorway with pilaster jambs topped with a corniced head, a plain fanlight, and the original six-panelled door. The first floor is made of exposed brown stock brick with a stucco storey band, featuring square-headed, recessed sash windows with lugged architraves. Pilasters extend through both the ground and first floors, supporting an entablature and acroteria. There are end-wall chimney stacks.
