Description

These are a pair of semi-detached villas, likely dating from around 1830. They are constructed with stucco over brick, and have Welsh slate and artificial slate roofs. The buildings feature sidehall entrances with a staircase inside. They are two storeys high with a basement and attic, and originally had three windows on each side. The entrance bay is set back, and the raised ground floor is rusticated, with a sill band above round-arched openings. The windows are sash windows with curved and radiating glazing bars within panelled recesses. Steps lead up to the doorways; No. 10 retains an original twin-panelled, studded door and a radiating fanlight, both with original glazing bars. The first floor is plain stucco with a storey band below the sash windows, which have lugged architraves. A dentilled cornice sits beneath a hipped roof with projecting eaves and stuccoed centre-wall stacks, and some dormers.
