Description
Numbers 26 and 28 are semi-detached villas built around 1840. They feature a stucco finish over brick and have hipped roofs made of Welsh and artificial slate, with projecting eaves and stucco chimney stacks. The villas follow a side-hall entrance plan with a staircase and rise three storeys above a basement. Each villa has three windows, including an entrance bay. The ground floors are rusticated stucco with imitation keystones. Steps lead up to the entrance located in a recessed outer bay extension, which has an architraved doorway with a cornice, pilaster jambs, a fanlight with curved and radial glazing bars, and a panelled door. The windows are mostly sashes, with configurations of 6/6 and 3/3 throughout. The ground-floor windows are round-arched, also with architraves and curved and radial glazing bars. The first floor features a sill band for the sashes and bracketed cornices, along with a plaque inscribed 'Albion Villas'. The villas are complemented by attached iron railings.
