Description
Nos. 7 and 9 Furlong Road are semi-detached villas built around 1830 to 1850. They are constructed of stucco over brick and feature hipped roofs made of Welsh and artificial slate, with projecting eaves and stucco chimney stacks. The villas have a side-hall entrance plan that includes a staircase. They rise three storeys with a basement and each villa has two windows.
Steps lead up to an entrance that is framed with an architrave. The doorway is deeply recessed and includes a cornice, plain jambs, a fanlight, and a panelled door. The lower floors have cast-iron window guards. The ground-floor windows are round-arched, set in stucco recesses, and feature curved and radial glazing bars. The first floor has 6/6 sash windows with a sill band and bracketed cornices, while the second floor has 3/3 sash windows.
