Description

These are a pair of semi-detached villas located on Liverpool Road, Islington, dating to around 1820. The buildings are constructed of stuccoed brick with hipped roofs covered in tile and Welsh slate, featuring projecting eaves. A recessed sidehall entrance leads to a staircase. Each house has two storeys and a basement, with three windows at the front. The ground floor is rusticated and features round arched openings with keystones. The windows are sash windows with curved glazing bars set within panelled recesses. Steps lead to a semi-circular arched doorway, which has pilaster jambs supporting corniced heads, a fanlight, and a panelled door. The first floor has architraved sash windows with horns and decorated apron panels. A stucco band runs beneath the eaves, and there are centre-wall stacks along with a raking dormer on the side.
