Description

These are a pair of semi-detached villas located on Liverpool Road, Islington, dating from around 1820. The buildings are constructed of stuccoed brickwork, with hipped tiled roofs and projecting eaves. A recessed side hall entrance features a staircase. Each villa stands two storeys high with a basement, and originally had three windows. The ground floor is stuccoed and rusticated, with round arched openings featuring keystones. The windows are sash windows with curved glazing bars set within panelled recesses. Steps lead up to a semi-circular arched doorway framed by pilaster-jambs, a cornice-head, a fanlight, and a panelled door. Number 302 has undergone alterations and rebuilding. The first floor features architraved sash windows with horns and decorated apron panels. A stucco band runs beneath the eaves, with centre wall stacks. Number 304 includes a raking dormer to the side.
